A positive mental attitude also known as PMA will truly shift your vibration and allow you to see and attract the good in your life. This is known as, "The Law of Attraction".
Everyday I make a commitment to focus on the "good". No matter what is going on in my world or body. Many mornings I awake and my body is filled with intense pain in my back, pelvic legs even my head. I am not sure how I am going to even get through the day.
I say a few prayers, thank God for everything I already have and I "choose my attitude" for the day. By setting an intention for my day it helps me focus on what I would like.
Ex. Love, Joy, Peace
Before I get out of bed each morning, the first thing I do is shift my mindset and focus on gratitude. The thing you focus on will GROW. So if you focus on what is going wrong guess what the Universe will give you...Crap.
Many of my clients say, "Well I don't have anything to be grateful for. Or "There is nothing in my life that is good".
Hmm...
My response is there is always something to be grateful for in your life.
I ask the following questions to my clients to allow them to shift their mindset to a much more positive view.
1. Did you open your eyes today? Yes, thank you God.
2. Are you breathing? Yes, thank you God.
3. Can you get out of bed? Yes, thank you God.
4. Can you go to the bathroom? Yes, thank you God.
5. Can you move your arms and legs? Yes, thank you God.
At one point in my life I couldn't answer "YES" to 4 out of the 5 questions.
I had a choice to focus on what I could do or all the terrible things that I could not do.
At this point I couldn't get out of bed, I couldn't open my eyes, I couldn't even go pee without using a catheter or having someone put a bedpan in my bed, I couldn't move my arms and legs from so much fatigue, pain and severe complications from 3 failed surgeries.
However, I was breathing!
A true miracle!
Was I scared? YES! Was I angry YES! Was I frustrated? YES!
But I made the choice to not let my fear or pain to rule my life!
As the months/years progressed so did I. I became grateful that I could wiggle my toes. I wasn't able to move my legs but "I COULD" lay in bed and make my toes dance. This doesn't sound like much but believe me the day that I could wiggle my toes was one of the happiest days in my life. :)
Positivity enlivens my body, brightens my mood, and keeps me eagerly expecting all the "good" to show up in my life.
I invite YOU to shift your mindset and focus on the good in your life.
Remember you always have the power to choose your attitude.
Love and hugs,
Valerie
